How to make homemade Boursin au Poivre –(Pepper Boursin Cheese)

As its name implies, this version of Boursin Cheese has a delightful peppery flavour. It is wonderful served as an accompaniment to red meats, or made into a cheese sauce and poured on top, garnished with a fresh whole chili pepper, or used as a spread instead of mayonnaise or mustard on sandwiches.

¼ of the basic Basic Boursin Cheese recipe

½ to 1 tsp freshly cracked pepper (white or black)

¼ tsp crushed, dried red chili pepper (optional)

  1. Mix the cracked peppers with ¼ of the basic Boursin cheese. (Basic Boursin Cheese recipe is found in blog under the ‘Recipe’ Category, as well as other how-to recipes for a variety of cheeses and related recipes.)
  2. Decorate your Boursin Cheese with whole chili peppers and/or whole peppercorns.
  3. Serve your homemade cheese with cold cuts and/or roast beef. You may also roll meat slices around your Boursin au Poivre cheese for an added visual and taste impact when serving this cheese to company.
