Ingredients to make approximately 30 Tasty Horse Biscuits

1½ cups whole wheat flour

1 cup all-natural wheat bran

1 cup freshly ground flax seed

1 cup grated, seeded, & peeled apples, packed solidly

½ cup organic blackstrap molasses

¼ cup canola oil

1. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

2. Stir in the apple until well coated.

3. Measure out the molasses and canola oil into a separate medium-sized bowl. Mix them together, combining thoroughly.

4. Add the wet ingredients to the apple mixture, again mixing together thoroughly.

5. Shape and roll the dough out into a 2 ” diameter log.

6. Completely wrap the ‘log’ with waxed paper, and chill in the fridge for approximately 1½ hours.

7. Unwrap the dough, and discard the waxed paper.

8. On a cutting board, cut off the Tasty Horse Biscuits from the log into ¼” slices.

9. Place your homemade nutritious Tasty Horse Biscuits on an ungreased large baking sheet, approximately 2″ apart.

10. Bake them in a 325 degree F oven for about 25 minutes, or until they are hard and dry.

11. Allow the biscuits to cool completely before storing. Your Tasty Horse Biscuits keep well for up to 10 weeks when stored in an airtight container.
