This is a delightfully light and fresh tasting version of Boursin Cheese. It is a culinary delight, almost melting in your mouth, begging for more.
¼ of the basic Boursin Cheese
2 T chopped fresh thyme (part lemon thyme is preferable)
2 tsp chopped fresh chives
- Mix the chopped fresh lemon thyme together with ¼ of the basic Boursin Cheese. (The Basic Boursin Cheese recipe is found in betweenclosefriends.com blog under the ‘Recipe’ Category, as well as other how-to recipes to make a variety of homemade cheeses.) If lemon thyme is not available, you may use ¼ tsp freshly grated lemon rind added to the basic recipe, allowing it to ‘age’ for 1-2 hours to blend the lemon flavoring, if desired.
- Serve your French Boursin Cheese decorated with fresh sprigs of thyme on a platter with sandwiches and crudités, or stuffed under the skin of chicken breasts—roasted or baked. Delicious!
