Almost-Instant Doggy Biscuits

Simplicity itself, somewhat nutritious, and definitely a treat! Depending on your generosity of size, these Almost-Instant Doggy Biscuits will yield approximately 4-5 dozen dog biscuits. Make ahead and store in a closed plastic bag for up to 1 week. Ingredients: 1 bag stale bagels (found on a reduced baked table at your grocer’s, or temporarily forgotten in your cupboard)

  1. Cut the bagels into bite sized pieces
  2. Place them on a cookie sheet and allow them to dry out naturally, or bake them in a slow oven (250 degrees F), until hard.
  3. When hard, package the Almost-Instant Doggy Biscuits in a closed plastic bag or airtight container.
  4. Serve as treats, or doggy ‘chews’.
