These are wonderful cookie treats to reward a well behaving pet, or to help elevate their mood. Some felines become more frisky, others simply more playful. Be careful not to reward your family pet too often though, as some cats will become a little aggressive when fed too much catnip. You know your pet best, and can adjust the number of Kitty Katnip Kookie treats rewarded, accordingly. Very easy to make, and a delight to share! (for more cat treat and cat food recipes; herbal remedies/cures; herbal recipes; and so much more, please check the ‘category’ section of betweenclosefriends.com)Ingredients:
1 c whole wheat flour (white flour may be used, but wholewheat is preferred)

1 tsp catnip (home grown and dried is preferred, but store-bought is okay)
1 omega egg
1/3 c whole milk
2 T wheat germ
1/3 c skim milk powder
1 tablespoon unsulfured molasses
2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Mix together the flours, catnip wheat germ and the skim milk powder in a medium sized bowl.
3. In a separate bowl combine thoroughly the molasses, egg, oil and whole milk.
4. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and mix in the wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
5. Turn the dough onto a greased cookie sheet, rolling out flat. Cut the dough into small bite-sized pieces.
6. Bake for 20 minutes.
7. Cool on a wire rack. When completely cooled, store in an airtight container. Reward your feline family member at every opportunity.
