Ingredients to make for approximately 18 tasty Crunchy Doggy Chews

½ cup quick-cooking rolled oats (do not use the instant oats)

½ cup wheat germ

2 T brewers yeast

¼ cup instant soy drink powder

1 tsp low-sodium beef bouillon powder

2 (3 ½ oz) jars of a good quality organic strained beef baby food

1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients thoroughly.

2. Stir in the beef baby food, mixing well.

3. Allow the mixture to stand for about 1 hour.

4. Lightly flour your pastry board, and place the mix in the center.

5. Roll or pat the doggy bone dough out to a ½ ” thick rectangle.

6. Show your creative side by cutting different shapes that your dog may enjoy, or use the traditional bone-shaped cookie cutter.

7. Be sure to roll out any scraps 1/2″ thick, (using up all the doggy dough), and cut out more bones or creative shapes.

8. Space your doggy bones 2″ apart on a greased baking sheet, baking in a 300 degree F oven for about 1 ½ hours until hard and dry.

9. Cool.

Store these tasty doggy chews in an airtight container for up to 10 weeks.
