This recipe for Basil and Orange Tea is a delicious herbal brew. You may find that some herbal teas are a little unpalatable, however this recipe is very good. Of course! (if otherwise, it would not be included here)
Among other remedies, Basil relieves nausea (excellent for morning sickness), and is thought to have mild antiseptic properties. This should not be relied upon exclusively, however, and the brew should only be used as an supplementary treatment for infections. Ingredients:
1 large sprig basil
1¼ cups boiling water
1 tsp fresh orange juice
- Pour the boiling water over the sprig of basil. Leave alone to infuse for about 5 minutes. Then remove the basil leaves and discard.
- Add the orange juice and stir. Enjoy this delightful drink while it is still hot for soothing relief.
