A sharp Lemon Sachet Mixture: This is a favorite of mine to include in my lingerie drawers. For other scented herbal sachets, betweenclosefriends.com blog contains a wide variety, including 3 herbal recipe alternatives to mothballs. ( Get rid of moths without mothballs, sweet-smelling herbal moth repellent bags, or All-natural sweet smelling moth repellent). Much more pleasing scents, and environmentally friendlier too!
1 cup dried crushed lemon verbena leaves
1 cup dried lavender flowers
1 cup dried crushed scented geranium leaves
¼ cup dried crushed peppermint leaves
¼ cup dried crushed lemon peel strips
muslin or cheesecloth bags
colorful ribbon
- Combine the crushed leaves, lemon peel strips and lavender flowers together in a bowl.
- Evenly divide the mixture between several small sachet bags, filling ¾ full to allow the tops to be secured with a rubber band.
- Tie the tops of the bags with a length of ribbon.
- Place the sachets to pleasantly scent linens, clothes, and furs, in your closets and drawers.
