For dry skin: Mix together 2 mashed semi-ripe bananas, with
1 tablespoon of pure honey.
Apply this mixture to your face, and allow it to remain on for 5 minutes. (Lay down and relax. Have your head lower than your body for maximum benefits).
Rinse the mask off with tepid water. Pat, don’t rub, dry; then apply a moisturizer such as rosewater moisturizer (recipe available in betweenclosefriends.com)
For irritated skin: Mix together 4 Tablespoons of regular oatmeal with
4 Tablespoons of plain yogurt (yogurt is nourishing and has antiseptic qualities).
Add 1 tablespoon of pure extra virgin olive oil (a natural skin softener and healer),
1 Tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice (a natural antibiotic), and 1 Tablespoon of finely chopped parsley.
Massage this ‘paste’ gently into your skin, and allow it to work for 5 minutes undisturbed. Rinse off this mask with tepid water. Then gently pat your face dry.
