This Sodium and Mineral Restricted Cat Food recipe is suitable for those family felines suffering from FUS or heart disease. Ingredients: 2 lb regular ground beef ½ lb beef liver or pork liver

2 c cooked white rice (do not use salt in the water)

2 tsp vegetable oil

2 tsp calcium carbonate (available from drug/health food store) balanced vitamin/mineral supplement

  1. Boil the ground beef and the liver separately, until both are tender and cooked through.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, and mix together thoroughly.
  3. Divide into serving portions and pack into covered containers.
  4. Sodium and Mineral Restricted Cat Food may be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
  5. To serve: Slightly warm one individual portion and serve to your special pet.
