How to make these Scrumptous Opal Basil Cheddar Crisps yield: 40 snacks

8 oz medium-sharp cheddar cheese, grated
½ cup butter, room temp
½ tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tsp prepared mustard (recipe also included in this blog)
1 cup flour
2 tsp chopped fresh purple opal basil
1 ½ cups crisp rice cereal
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix together the cheese, butter, Tabasco sauce, and mustard in a medium to large bowl.
- Blend in the flour and basil.
- When thoroughly combined, stir in the cereal, blending well.
- Next, shape this mixture into small balls.
- Place the shaped balls onto a greased baking sheet, gently flattening each with the bottom of a lightly floured glass.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
