A Simple to Make Nutritious & Delicious Cat Food Recipe

With all the problems about tainted pet foods, there is nothing like a good homemade recipe. This recipe for cat food is both healthy without those chemical additives and fillers, and your finicky feline will love it and you for taking the time to care about him! (For more recipes, and treats for your pets, herbal remedies, herbal preparations, and so much more, check the ‘Categories‘ section of betweenclosefriends.com blog).

The natural occuring vitamins in the liver of this recipe will add a noticable shine to your feline’s coat; with the bonemeal helping to form strong teeth and bones. Cats are natural predators stalking mice, birds etc, and often become deficient when kept indoors and fed a steady diet of store-bought food, because few companies add their needed bone meal that is part of their diet when allowed to roam outdoors. (Bone meal is available at most health food stores, and is good for both felines and their owners).

Ingredients:

1 c water

1/3 c dry rice

2 tsp corn oil

½ tsp iodized salt

2/3 c ground meat

1 T bone meal

2 T pre-cooked liver

1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.

2. Add the rice, corn oil and salt.

3. Simmer 20 minutes.

4. Cover the meat with bone meal and add the liver to the rice mixture.

5. Simmer together for 15 minutes.

6. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Combine all together, then serve.

You may refrigerate or freeze any leftovers.
