Because the body (both ours and our beloved pets), lose both good bacteria and the bad bacteria from taking antibiotics to fight off illness, it is necessary to replace the lost ‘good’ bacteria. These natural ‘good’ bacteria (like the kind found in yogurt), are used by the body to fight off undesirable types of bacteria and micro-organisms, so it is very important to help re-build up a new supply as fast as possible. Without rebuilding the killed natural ‘good’ bacteria resulting from taking the antibiotics, the body is left vulnerable without enough good bacteria left as a defense system. Acidophilus contains those good bacteria that are required to rebuild the immune defenses. More information is available from your health store.
