This delicious tasting cough syrup has soothing, demulcent qualities and is very simple to make. It is an especially soothing expectorant cough syrup which calms an inflamed and irritated throat, giving it a soft protective coating.

Simply juice a quantity of borage leaves and stems in a vegetable juicer. Mix 1 cup of this mucilaginous juice with 1 cup of honey in a small saucepan, and bring it to a boil. Remove it from the heat and pour your borage cough syrup into a sterilized lidded bottle.
